Bangplee Floating Market
Bangplee floating market is the only old market in Samrong to have survived both fires and new developments, and still features the same classic architectural style it had when it was constructed 150 years ago. The 500-metres wooden walkway stretching along the river handles thousands of tourists every day, who throng the busy stalls rooting through the many antiquities and other fascinating items for sale. The market is located near Bangplee Yai Nai temple, so there are many stalls selling goods for monks and temples but the market is also known as a foodies’ heaven with all kinds of delicious local cuisine and tempting snacks to be had.
